Steve Spiro started his musical carreer as a record producer & remixer working with artists such as Pet Shop Boys, E17, Kim Wilde, Imagination, Talk Talk, The Farm and MC Hammer to name but a few.
As a media composer Steve teamed up with Paul McCartney’s Keyboard player and MD, Wix (Paul Wickens), working immediately on the BBC title music for the Atlanta Olympics. The theme music was picked up by EMI and went on to be a UK hit. Since then Steve and Wix have written music for adverts and corporate branding for companies including FIFA, Ford, Flora, Rimmel, HSBC, Pepsi and NBC. They also scored the music for Hamilton Mattress, the highly acclaimed claymation feature produced by the makers of Wallace & Gromit, and had one of their tracks featured on the last ever episode of Sex and the City. Steve has had further success in the U.S. with his music being used on Six Feet Under and for the Lexus campaign, ‘Robots’.
Last year Steve released Frequent Traveller, a concept album and cinematic trip, that was written and recorded on his daily train journey home from Victoria to Sussex over the course of a year.
